Week 4

This week I work mostly on my female character. I found it more diffucult then the male character, mainly because the structer of a woman character is a bit unfamiliar than it is from a guy. Seeing as I am a guy, i know the structer of one more. I guess that makes since. Of course I know a woman is more curvy, but when it comes to modeling it, it's something I have to get used to. That being said, I think it's coming along really well. I still have to do the hands and head. The head wont be a problem since it doesnt need to be detailed, but the hands are always a pain. My male hands came out pretty nice, but with critized for being too small. So if i make them the same size, it should be right for the female character. By far the most diffucult thing to get right is the breast. They need to have shape more than anything. Other than that, i think it's turning out pretty good.

Blog3

After Modeling a simple man for a homework assignment, I have learned a few things, through trial and error. For one, Pelvis! The first time i made the pelvis it wasn't as hard. But, after an unfortunate accident, my files got lost. So, I had to make him again, but this time for some reason the pelvis was a real pain. Also, the hands, in my opinion, is the hardest, next to the head, to model. It takes a lot of time and precision. Knowing these things, are going to help me in the long run while working on my character. Right now, I have the torso of my character done, the pelvis, as well as most of the legs. I will continue the rest of his frame, next class.

Week 2

Currently I am working on getting the hang of the symmetry modifier. I intend on using it from the very beginning of my character, so I need to be equipped to handle it. I am modeling a basic man for this homework assignment, and I have to say, it's easier than i thought it would be. The most difficult part is the crotch. The head hasn't been started yet, so I can't really judge that. I now have a model sheet I can go off of for my heavier set character. I will start from scratch with that one, and should be more knowledgeable in my approach.

1st week: Character Description

My character is a 12 year old boy. His powers include sleight of hand, and mental telepathy. However he has low mobility speed because of the extent of his weight. The character's role is to protect kids from bullying and mistreatment. My character isn't going to be a prototype superhero. In a sense, he's a bad hero and more comical than anything else. He looses breathe easily and lacks the energy to really make a noticeable difference.
